"Guiding the Journey – Facilitating Change: Pathways of Transformation"

Coming in 2025

Facilitation Training: Join us on this transformative personal and professional journey through facilitation training. Together, we'll navigate the landscapes of anti-racism, chart a course towards deeper understanding, empathy, and effective strategic moves and nuanced emotional intelligence to strengthen your facilitation skills and presence. Through structured whole and small group sessions, practical exercises, and supportive coaching, you will develop the skills and awareness confidence to facilitate meaningful change in your current and future organizational and community contexts. Let’s embark together on this journey towards deeper understanding, empathy, and effective facilitation in creating pathways of transformation where equity and justice thrive.

We are on a mission to cultivate a community of white anti racist folks

//Starting Point - Awareness and Intent:

Are you…

  • Are you a White leader committed to anti-racism and seeking to enhance your facilitation skills in hosting and leading  conversations about systemic racism, personal racial identity development, organizational change, and collective change in your personal or professional context?

  • Are you committed to anti-racism and eager to deepen your understanding and skills to support and empower shifts for those with whom you work or lead?

  • Are you a leader of groups dedicated to shifting team meeting dynamics, leading DEIJ trainings/lessons/content/reflection, supporting leadership teams in building their muscle in naming and engaging through racial contexts?

  • Are you a White leader looking to continue your own personal racial identity awareness specifically with the lens for facilitating and co-conspiring with PGM in your leadership contexts?

//Embarking on Change:

What we prioritize…

  • We prioritize creating an authentic community where White leaders can engage deeply in the practice of unlearning Whiteness for themselves and with other White folks committed to this personal work and developing effective facilitation skills. We prioritize creating a supportive community for white individuals dedicated to anti-racism, fostering empathy, and navigating complexities with nuance and collaboration.

//Navigating Unfamiliar Terrain - Learning and Unlearning:

This is NOT a spot for those looking for quick fixes or unwilling to engage in the discomfort of challenging their own biases and assumptions, dedicated to their own and others’ learning edges.

This IS a spot for:

  • White leaders ready to embrace the messy journey of unlearning and growth, while actively fostering change and creating inclusive spaces for dialogue and collaboration.

  • white educators, leaders, and allies who are willing to engage in introspective work, embrace complexity, and actively contribute to anti-racist practices in their contexts. As we continue to encounter requests of Black folks and PGM for White folks to have their own space to do White-on-White work.

  1. Our facilitation training invites White leaders to immerse themselves in a community dedicated to learning, practicing, and embodying anti-oppressive facilitation. Sessions are designed to help participants strengthen their will, skill, and application in planning, facilitating, and ongoing adaptation and support for interactions that challenge and dismantle systemic racism. This training is especially recommended for those facilitating in racial affinity and cross-racial spaces:

    • Employee Resource Groups

    • Workshops + trainings focused on intrapersonal, interpersonal, and institutional change of systemic oppression

    • Team dynamics in a commitment for an anti-oppressive and anti-racist future

    • Organizational change processes

  2. Continue on your anti-racist journey with a community of White leaders who want to get better in their will, skill, and application of facilitating the journey with and for others in the work. Come lean into the practice and mess that is continually naming and unlearning whiteness, embodying transformative change and liberatory practices, all while holding change and the space for people to engage in this work for collective transformation.

  3. Sessions are structured around reflection, dialogue, and skill-building. They include check-ins and cultivating authentic communities, interactive whole and small group learning activities, and discussions on personal and systemic aspects of anti-racism.

//Destination: While the journey may not have a definitive endpoint, the destination is one of continued learning and impact. You emerge from the training with an expanded and refined map. Your commitment to anti-racism becomes an ongoing journey of personal growth and societal change, contributing to a future where equity and justice thrive in every facet of our lives and communities.

“To ‘hold change’ or ‘hold space’ is to hold both the people in, and the dynamic energy of, a room, a space, a meeting, an organization, a movement. To hold change is to make it easy for people with shared intentions to be around each other and move towards their vision and values (facilitate), and/or to navigate conflict in a way that is generative and accountable (mediate).... Facilitation is making it as easy as possible for groups of people to do the hard work of dreaming, planning, visioning, and organizing together…”
